About

Lamonica Advisory Group is a strategic advisory firm serving Latin American family offices and HNW and UHNW business families navigating wealth transitions, governance, and cross-border investment between Latin America and the U.S.

Our work is built around three core areas: family governance and succession planning, U.S. market entry and investment structuring, and the coordination of legal, tax, and financial professionals to deliver integrated, long-term solutions.

We operate as an independent advisor with no commissions and no product affiliations — every recommendation we make is aligned exclusively with our clients' best interests.

Our clients are families managing complex, multi-generational enterprises across borders. They come to us when the stakes are high, the structure is complicated, and they need an advisor who understands both the Latin American context and the U.S. market deeply.

We work alongside a trusted network of legal, tax, investment, and wealth management specialists — acting as the strategic orchestrator that keeps all advisors aligned around the family's vision and priorities.

Our Founder

Our Founder

Lawrence Lamonica is the founder of Lamonica Advisory Group, an advisory firm focused on Latin American family offices and HNW and UHNW business families. Alongside a trusted group of legal, tax, and financial specialists, he delivers coordinated solutions in governance, succession planning, and cross-border wealth structuring between Latin America and the U.S. Before founding Lamonica Advisory Group, Lawrence spent nearly 18 years at a U.S.-based Registered Investment Advisor, where he served as lead advisor to Latin American HNW and UHNW families on U.S. investments and globally diversified portfolios. He played a key role in significantly growing the firm's Latin America practice and designed and implemented family office and next-generation services initiatives. Earlier in his career, Lawrence served as an International Economist in the Office of the Western Hemisphere at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and subsequently as an Advisor to the Chilean Ministry of Finance, coordinating policy positions with the World Bank, IMF, and IDB. That institutional foundation shapes how he thinks about cross-border risk, capital flows, and long-term wealth preservation to this day. With over 20 years of experience at the intersection of wealth, business, and global markets, Lawrence helps families structure U.S. investments, develop governance frameworks, and implement succession plans that promote long-term continuity across generations. Lawrence holds a master's degree in international affairs from the School of International Service at American University and a degree in business and economics from Universidad Gabriela Mistral in Chile. He has completed executive programs at The Wharton School, Columbia Business School, ESE Business School, and Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, specializing in private wealth management, family enterprises, family offices, and venture capital.
